Dr. Dennis Sagini, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, specializing in care of the hand and upper extremity. He is on the Joint Implant Surgeons of Florida team, based in Fort Myers, FL. Dr. Sagini has a passion for helping his patients get back to the lifestyle they love, using the most minimally invasive procedures, as well as non-surgically through means such as steroid injections, occupational and physical therapy, and splinting.
Whether it’s getting back to tennis, golf, job duties, or performing tasks as simple as opening a jar, or sleeping easily through the night, the goal of Dr. Sagini and his staff is to help patients enjoy life again without pain.
Dr. Sagini also makes it a priority to provide a relaxed atmosphere that is both professional and personal, and makes his patients feel at ease. Patients can feel comfortable talking directly to their doctor, and getting answers to all of their questions and concerns.
Lastly, Dr. Sagini places a great value on educating his patients and the general public about common disorders and issues of the hands and upper extremities. Margaret J. Zimmerman | PA-C, MPAS
Board-Certified Physician Assistant
Margaret is a nationally Board-Certified Physician Assistant. She attended Western State Colorado University for her Bachelor’s of Science degree with a Major in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. She then went on to obtain her Master’s of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Nova Southeastern University.
Margaret is an active member in the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
As Physician Assistant (PA), Margaret is delegated various patient care duties by Dr. Sagini, specializing in care of the hands and upper extremities. This team model is an efficient way to continue providing the highest quality medical care to patients.
In her free time, Margaret enjoys spending time with her husband, cat, and two dogs.
Ashley Le | PA-C, MPAS
Board-Certified Physician Assistant
Ashley is a nationally Board-Certified Physician Assistant. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science from Texas A&M San Antonio with a Major in Biology and Minor in Psychology. She acquired her Master’s of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Nova Southeastern University-Fort Myers, and joined Dr. Sagini and his team in early 2021.
Ashley is a current member of American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and Florida Academy of PA’s (FAPA).
As Physician Assistant (PA), Ashley is delegated various patient care duties by Dr. Sagini, specializing in care of the hands and upper extremities. This team model is an efficient way to continue providing the highest quality medical care to patients.

Connie has 20 years of experience providing specialty therapy services to the hand and upper extremity. She began her medical career in Pittsburgh PA, in 1991, and moved to Florida in 1997. She now works with Dr. Sagini and Joint Implant Surgeons of FL as a seasoned therapist.
Connie specializes in treatment of arthritis of the hands, nerve, muscle and tendon injuries, as well as post-op fracture care, and upper extremity dysfunction.
Connie also realizes the value of education, and enjoys teaching and sharing her splint designs and lecturing at professional seminars. She has also authored articles and book chapters on hand therapy topics for various publications. Injuries vary in degree and complication. As part of her presentations Connie shares her expertise in splint design, which has received a high degree of recognition and numerous awards from her peers.
A large part of what attracted Connie to Florida is her love for the outdoors. In her time off, Connie enjoys volunteering services to help maintain and enhance the mountain bike trails, camp sites and the kayaking waterways that Lee County is famous for.
